BRACKETS, BRACES AND SUPPORTS (STRUCTURAL)
Reflexxion brackets are quality brackets that are used to reinforce or attach car, SUV, and light duty front bumpers or reinforcement parts to the vehicle. Even though these parts are hidden, what you don’t see can be just as important to the proper performance of your vehicle’s collision management system.
FEATURE BENEFITS
In comparative testing, Diamond Standard Brand quality steel brackets meet or exceed the OE part for fit, hardness, and E-coat primer finish. The reason being that Diamond Standard Brand alternative brackets are precision engineered to the standard which is the OE original part using OE style material and manufacturing process technology. Diamond Standard Brand parts are a safe choice for collision repair and a true alternative to OE performance at an affordable price.
OE style material
Dual check fixture tested for shape / trim and hole alignment.
Nominal thickness equals the average thickness of the OE part based on ASTM test standard.
Hardness equals the average hardness of the OE part based on ASTM test standard.
E-coat primer meets the ASTM test standard.
Lot number identification is engraved on the underside of each bracket.
OE STYLE CHECK FIXTURE DIMENSIONAL VALIDATION SUMMARY
OE style check fixtures, based on the OE part being the standard, are used to validate the Diamond Standard Brand alternative bracket for shape f trim tolerances and hole alignment. The standard deviance for a Diamond Standard Brand bracket is +/- 2.0mm of the OE sample used as the standard. Surface, trim and hole alignment checks are performed for PPAP and during each production run of brackets. As can be seen in the pictures below, the Diamond Standard Brand bracket passes check fixture testing meeting OE for shape / trim and hole alignment.
ROCKWELL HARDNESS TESTING SUMMARY
A Diamond Standard Brand bracket is required to pass numerous additional tests beyond the check fixture validation to meet the OE standard. Material property matching is conducted for material thickness tolerance to the OE part average thickness using a Starrett Micrometer. A Rockwell Hardness Tester is used to determine the average hardness measurement for the OE standard according to the test standard ASTM E18-05. Diamond Standard Brand bracket PPAP samples and ongoing production lot samples must pass Rockwell Hardness tests with a nominal hardness equal to the OE average hardness standard.
